Summer Reading List {2020}

Wednesday, June 24, 2020
Ahhhh....summer when responsibilities seem to disappear? Okay, maybe not disappear, but at least chores don't seem to be as important, right?

Although we all probably have mixed feelings about this Spring's Shelter in Place, I have been grateful for the extra reading time!

But I have BIG NEWS - I wrote a book! Like...it's sold on the internet and in bookstores.

My Top 10 Books of 2019

Tuesday, December 31, 2019
I'll be honest...I'm very surprised that I was able to read at all this year while having an infant at home. But thanks to Luke falling asleep the second the car started humming, I spent a great amount of time sitting in the car waiting for him to wake up! Plus, I can't fall asleep each night without reading at least a few pages of a book.

So, I'm sharing my Top Books of 2019!

Yearly Memory Jar

Sunday, December 29, 2019
Do you remember in high school and college when you saved everything? Like ticket stubs to lame movies and ribbons you wore in your championship volleyball game? Yes, everything!

Recently my dad cleaned out his storage shed and gifted me all those boxes of treasures I had saved.  Needless to say, many of those goodies found a new home in a landfill somewhere!

Five Faves on the Fifteenth {November 2019}

Friday, November 15, 2019
It has been months since I've written about my faves - I hate when life gets in the way!

Here are my Five Favorites for the month of November!

Family Gratitude Jar {FREEBIE}

Sunday, November 3, 2019

November is a month of being thankful and reflecting on the people, events, and things that bring us joy.

In our crazy busy life, it's so easy to forget to be thankful for the everyday things that bring us comfort, happiness, and peace of mind. A working heater? Groceries in the fridge? A simple kiss goodnight? I often take these things for granted. Even small things like good weather and clean underwear I take for granted some days!

The Best Books for Teaching Gratitude for Toddlers

Saturday, November 2, 2019
Looking back, I'm not sure exactly how my parents reinforced the concept of gratitude in our home growing up. However, I know that it was an important theme that ran through everything - from my mom cooking us dinner each night to my sister making my lunch to my dad going to every one of my sports events.

I'm sure we had lots of conversations around the dinner table, after receiving presents from people, and maybe even being reminded when we weren't always grateful for things!

I am not a huge TV watcher.  Like everyone, I have limited time and I'd honestly rather spend my time reading! However, occasionally I need to zone out and just watch the ol' boob tube.
